Skills, safety and modern-day slavery

In 2022 the MRW National Recycling Conference is returning…but not as you know it. The engagement and feedback we’ve had in previous years proved to us that there’s much more to explore than a half-day can offer, so we’ve decoupled it from our prestigious awards programme, given it its own identity and dedicated an entire day to it. We’ll still be delivering the valuable content you’ve come to expect, but this time it’s digital - cultivating important conversations in a more accessible way.

In recent years MRW has hosted several discussions and events focused on Modern Day Slavery – a topic that continues to be relevant and require collaboration across the sector.

For this year’s conference on June 7, we want to help the industry meet the challenge of recruiting the workforce of the future; much needed as the UK shifts to a circular economy to meet net zero targets.

What can you expect?

We’re broadening the conversation out from modern-day slavery to tackle skills, safety and slavery in the round, ensuring that we’re bringing together expert voices from across a wider ecosystem to assess how tackling modern day slavery dovetail with conversations around attracting talent, upskilling and rebuilding our supply chains.
