Gerard Delaney (Del) has extensive experience in various industries, starting with a 24-year career in the Army as a driver. During his time in the military, he also had instructional roles, teaching a range of topics from vehicle platforms to classroom-based subjects.

After leaving the Army, Gerard worked briefly with DHL before transitioning into the waste industry. He gained valuable experience by helping to set up a waste processing facility at DHL. This experience opened up opportunities for him of the waste industry. Gerard joined Ubico in 2017 and initially worked in operations, focusing on transport management. However, he also collaborated extensively with the internal Compliance Team, where he was seconded for a 9-month period.

This experience further expanded his knowledge in the industry. Currently, Gerard holds the role of Training Manager at Ubico. In this position, he manages two supervisors and is responsible for booking external courses for staff, as well as providing internal training on a variety of topics such as inductions, equality & diversity, driving assessments, accident reporting procedures, and more.

Gerard's qualifications include transport manager, Wamitab certificate of technical competence, and he is currently working towards enhancing his training qualifications."
