Sian Williams took over Switchback’s reins from its founder in October 2022. Sian’s primary focus is on growing Switchback’s impact: growing our frontline work supporting young men leaving prison; sharing our learning about effective post-release holistic support; and influencing national and regional justice policy and practice.
Before joining Switchback, Sian’s career was split between the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (1993-2008) and the anti-poverty charity Toynbee Hall in London’s East End, where she led work to ensure people with lived experience of exclusion are involved in shaping policy and practice solutions. Sian is also Chair of the new economy thinktank Positive Money and Vice-Chair of the UK’s Financial Inclusion Commission.
